Why In Home Stay and Train?
When I first began my dog training journey with my own dogs, I explored many different training styles—including costly board-and-train programs. Unfortunately, I found that my dogs often came home more stressed, confused, or even regressed in their training. Instead of feeling supported, I felt frustrated and, at times, like I was failing as a dog parent.
While board-and-train programs can be well-intentioned, they often fall short because your dog’s environment, routine, and handlers are completely different from real life. Dogs may perform well in a training facility, but once they return home, the structure disappears—and so does the progress. In some cases, dogs even return home more fearful or overwhelmed than before.
That realization is why I chose to offer something different: in-home stay-and-train programs.
Before any training begins, I come to your home for an assessment. I learn your dog’s routine, observe how they interact in their environment, and see firsthand the challenges you’re experiencing. From there, I create a personalized training plan tailored specifically to your dog and your lifestyle. Training takes place while you’re away, allowing your dog to receive 24-hour, individualized care in their own home, following their normal routine.
Training sessions are thoughtfully spaced throughout each day and integrated into real-life moments—mealtimes, walks, car rides, trails, restaurants, baths, nail trims, even teaching dogs to have downtime and relax—skills that are practical and lasting. There are no noisy kennels or rotating handlers. You will receive training update videos during my stay, homework assignments for when you return, and ongoing support. All clients who have completed a board and train option receive 15% off all other services.
Dogs who complete a stay-and-train program with me learn how to be calm, well-mannered family members. They learn that calm behavior earns access to the things they value most—movement, play, affection, and adventure—creating confidence, clarity, and long-term success at home.

Puppy Pre-School is a 2-week, 24-hour, in-home training and care program designed to give puppies the strongest possible foundation during their most important learning stage. By training directly in your home, puppies learn real-life skills in the environment where they’ll use them every day.
Throughout the stay, puppies participate in multiple short training sessions each day, focused on basic obedience, leash manners, impulse control, and confidence-building. Training is thoughtfully paired with structured play, enrichment, rest, and supervised socialization to ensure puppies stay engaged without becoming overwhelmed.
This program emphasizes:
Calm behavior and emotional regulation
Positive social skills with dogs and people
Safe, cooperative handling for grooming and veterinary care
Confidence in new environments and everyday routines
Puppy Pre-School also includes guided follow-up support, so you feel confident continuing your puppy’s training once the program is complete.

Puppy Finishing School is a 2-week, 24-hour, in-home training and care program for puppies who have already completed Puppy Pre-School or a basic obedience course and are ready to build confidence, consistency, and real-world skills.
Unlike traditional board-and-train programs, this experience takes place in your home, where puppies learn how to be well-mannered companions in real life—not in a kennel or on an unrealistic schedule. During the stay, your puppy receives structured training, enrichment, and guidance throughout the day, with a strong emphasis on calm behavior, emotional regulation, and respectful interactions.
Training is broken into multiple short sessions each day, paired with enrichment, play, and rest to support learning without overwhelm. Skills are reinforced during everyday routines—at home, on walks, and in social settings—so progress carries over long after the program ends.
This program focuses on:

Impulse control and calm behavior around distractions
Appropriate social skills and respectful play

🐾 Behavior Reset Intensive
Does your dog treat commands like suggestions? The Behavior Reset Intensive is designed for dogs struggling with common, manageable behavior challenges that impact everyday life at home and on walks.
This immersive program focuses on identifying the root causes behind unwanted behaviors—often boredom, anxiety, lack of clarity, or inconsistent boundaries—and replacing them with calm, appropriate alternatives through structured training and enrichment.
During the intensive, we work on behaviors such as:
Excessive barking or whining
Jumping on people
Leash pulling and poor walking manners
Destructive chewing or digging
Begging and attention-seeking behaviors
Mouthing or nipping
Chasing behaviors
Inappropriate elimination or house soiling
Resource guarding and impulse-control challenges
Training is paired with enrichment, structure, and clear communication so dogs learn what to do instead, not just what not to do.
This program is offered in both a 7-day and 2-week format. The appropriate option depends on the severity of the behaviors and the handler’s ability to follow through with consistent homework and guidance provided after the program.
The goal is not perfection—it’s a calmer, more responsive dog and a clearer, more confident relationship between you and your dog.
